Marriage & couples counselling in Adelaide

When a relationship is under strain, it can feel impossible to find your way back to each other on your own. Couples counselling gives you both a calm, confidential space to understand what's happening between you — and to rebuild connection from within.

Sessions are led by Sharne Kilsby, a counsellor trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2), in person in the Adelaide Hills or online across Australia.

When it helps to bring in support

Couples come to counselling at every stage — some want to repair, some want to understand, and some want to decide what comes next. All of it belongs in the room.

  • Communication that keeps breaking down
  • Repeating the same arguments without resolution
  • Feeling more like housemates than partners
  • Rebuilding trust after a breach of trust
  • Parenting stress pulling you in different directions
  • Preparing for marriage or a major life change

The approach

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Sharne is trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2) — a structured, evidence-based approach that helps couples understand their patterns, communicate clearly and reconnect. She also draws on Level 2 Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Tapping, and meets each couple with an integrative approach shaped around you both.

Sessions move at your pace, with a focus on strengthening relationships and creating meaningful change from within.
